The Committee feels convinced that more vigorous measures must be adopted to prosecute the work successfully in this field, which becomes the more important in view of an increase in population. The appropriation to this mission was $200 for the year. SPECIAL RESOLUTIONS WITH REFERENCE TO THE MISSION IN POTTER AND TIOGA COUNTIES. The following action was taken by the Executive Committee at its meeting, April 1st, 1884: On motion Resolved. That, in view of the growing Importance of the mission field in Potter and Tioga Counties, the Committee are con vi that more active measures must be taken to provide for its wants. Resolved, That the Committee are pursuaded that, at his age and state ol health, our faitliful and esteemed Bro. Voss is no longer able to meet the demands of the field. Resolved, That the Committee will propose to the Synod to provide a home for Bro. Voss from and after the meeting of Synod and that Bro. Voss' relation to that field as missionary terminate at that time. Ii-solved. That the Secretary of Executive Committee convey to Bro. Voss and to the Congregration knowledge of this action, and that he be requested, if possible, to visit them for this purpose. Applications were made for the support of new missions, within the bounds of the Synod and aid was promised to date from the time of the location of missionaries in their respective fields. The German Board of City Missions and the English Board of City Missions will present their respective separate reports of the missions under their care. The amount appropriated by the Executive...
